Glen Innes Family Centre (GIFC) is a community-based organisation that provides a range of services and programmes to support individuals and families in the Glen Innes and surrounding areas. GIFC has been operating since 1979 and has been generously supported by various government and non-government agencies.
In late 2022, GIFC moved to a new space at 8/260 Apirana Road, which is now the head office of GIFC. The new space is more spacious, modern and is in the heart of the town centre of Glen Innes.
The previous office at 122 Elstree Avenue, Glen Innes is now a training centre for GIFC, where various programmes and courses are offered to the community. These include parenting programmes, youth development programmes, and more.
The move to the new space is a significant milestone for GIFC, as it reflects the growth and development of the organisation over the years. It also demonstrates the commitment and dedication of the board, staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of the people they serve.
GIFC would like to thank Tamaki Regeneration Company (TRC) for giving us the space. We would also like to extend our thanks to all the supporters, funders, partners, and clients who have been part of this journey. We look forward to continuing our work in the new space, and welcome anyone who needs our help or wants to get involved.
